I have over ten years of experience within mental health services as a CBT therapist, clinical lead, supervisor and lecturer supporting individuals through their most challenging times and helping other practitioners develop their clinical and therapeutic skills. My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and tailored to each person I work with. I bring both medical insight and psychological expertise to create a safe, supportive space where meaningful change becomes possible.
I began my journey in the mid-1990s as a medical doctor, where I developed a deep understanding of how physical and emotional health are connected. My passion for the mind led me to complete a BSc in Psychology, followed by postgraduate training in CBT.
I specialise in working with individuals experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, from anxiety and depression to more complex and long-standing conditions. Over the years, I have developed particular expertise in treating OCD and full spectrum of conditions classified under the OCD and related disorders including:
- Body dysmorphic disorder
- Health Anxiety, Hoarding disorder
- Trichotillomania (Hair-Pulling)
- Excoriation disorder (Skin picking)
My approach is compassionate and evidence-based such as Inference-based CBT and ERP considered to be gold-standard treatment. I have a strong clinical interest and extensive experience in treating individuals with: PTSD, Complex PTSD, Long-term and chronic health conditions and emotional dysregulation.
To ensure I can offer a truly integrative and tailored approach, I have undertaken additional specialist training in therapies that complement CBT, including Compassion-Focused therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT and Polyvagal-informed
